Unicycles for Beginners Ages 6 and up
This beginner course will teach anyone the basics of
riding a unicycle. Unicycling is an
awesome individual or family sport. It’s
fun, challenging, and unique! Come and
join in the fun! Unicycles will be
provided for each participant.
Instructor: Tanya O’Brien and members of the TCUC (Twin
Cities Unicycle Club)

Beginning Dance Children
ages 3-12
Boys and girls, ages 3-12 come dance with me! Discover the
beauty and fun of ballet and tap dance. Playfully, we’ll explore rhythm, beat
and choreography. Ballet and tap shoes required, black preferred.
Leotards/tights or loose clothing. Clothing of color your choice.
There will be 5 sessions with recitals in May. Each session
has six classes.

Learn
how to use your digital camera. Topics discussed will include, function,
composition of subject matter, light and exposure.

Beginning Guitar all ages
If you are interested in learning the basics of guitar this
will be your chance. Mike Murtha, a long time guitar player and a founding
member of the local band Trigger Happy, will be teaching four one hour classes
with a maximum of 8 students in the class.
Please bring your guitar to class.

Bootcamp teens and adults
A
60 minute Bootcamp style class that will incorporate cardio, strength training
and core work.

Fee: $10 for 1 time class / $70 for 10 class punch card
/ $40 for a 5 class punch

Magic_101 (An Introduction to Magic) 8 years
and up
Learn to amaze your family and friends by
doing magic with everyday items.
This
two hour class will teach easy to perform magic using props such as cards,
coins, ropes, toothpicks, drinking cups, cardboard boxes, etc. Perfect for
young magicians just entering the realm of magic. The price of the class
includes basic materials needed to perform much of what will be taught.

Room Rescue
Teri will lead a “round table” discussion of
the participants’ problem
room. Attendees should come prepared with
photos, if possible, and dimensions of the room they would like to re-do. The
instructor will lead the discussion and offer suggestions on improving paint
color, furniture layout, space plan, accessories, art and more.

Zumba®
Basic Class
Are you tired of the ‘same old, same old’ routine in your
workout? Why
Zumba® fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to
create a dynamic fitness program that is fun and easy to do! You can achieve

hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast
and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your
body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the
mix and you've got Zumba®!
Please wear comfortable active clothing that is not
restrictive and shoes with plenty of cushion and not a lot of tread, court or
aerobic shoes are ideal. Also suggested: Water bottle and a towel.

Down/Stretch)

Black Velvet Art Adults
Have you been trying to find a black velvet
painting? Are you a retro wanna-be? This easy stunning class is your short cut
to style. You can sip a cocktail, chat and felt a design of your choice on
black velvet. You too can say, “I felt something.”

Feltastic Paint or Toy All Ages
Learn to felt a flat art piece using wool and
dry felt needles No experience necessary to create fabulous pictures. The
felted toy could be dragons, birds, cats or dogs.

Freaky for Frida Adult
Frida Kahlo put the ‘Art’ in ‘Party’. This
class will pay respect to her beauty and creativity while having fun. Collage a
portrait and paint a frame in a ‘retablo’ style. Bring a Mexican snack to
share. It’s party art.

Day of Dead Skeleton Toy Family-all ages
This class is full of skeleton toys and
puppet. Create a toy out of clay and wire, decorate it to be a person. (paper
puppets too). Families can share fees.

Open Computer Lab
The Computer Lab at St Croix Central High School Library will be open
to students and community adults, Wednesdays, 4:00-7:00 PM starting Sept. 22nd.
The Lab will be closed on any days school is not in session. Parents must
accompany younger children needing to work on an assignment or wishing to search
the net. This is a supervised lab with assistance on computer software and the
Internet. Students, staff and community residents are encouraged to take
advantage of this FREE opportunity.
If a participant has a Library card they will be able to access
software to learn programs such as photoshop, excel, ged and many more. At
least three people will be on hand to be of assistance to participants during
this time. For more information contact Paulette at 715-796-8869. Please
register so we have an idea of numbers.
Babysitters
Training boys and
girls ages 11-15
In
this course you will learn information and skills to become a safe and
responsible babysitter. Upon successful completion, you will receive an
American Red Cross course completion certificate, a copy of the Babysitter’s
Training Manual, a certificate from B-W Community Education and the opportunity
to have your name placed on the Community Education Babysitter List (with
parental consent). YOU MUST REGISTER
AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE FOR THIS CLASS. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS CAN BE
ACCEPTED.
